Public School Students Visit Adjara Courts

With the USAID Rule of Law Program's support, the Adjara-based NGO Green Sector organized educational visits to local courts for schoolchildren. On November 15, 2023, students from Bodzauri and Ganakhleba public schools of Khulo municipality and school Taoba of Batumi visited the Batumi City Court.

Judge Guliko Kazhashvili hosted the students and talked about the role of courts and the process of litigation. The students attended a court hearing and got acquainted with the specifics of the case consideration.

On November 3 and November 28, the students of Verni, Buturauli, Skorta, Akhaldaba, Shuakhevi, Batumi #9 and Taoba school visited the Constitutional Court of Georgia. Giorgi Lomtadze, Constitutional Court Secretary, explained the essence of the Constitution and talked about the functions and structure of the Constitutional Court.

A total of 88 students participated in the tours held in November. These educational visits were organized as part of the Green Sector project effort to enhance community involvement with justice sector organizations.
