Grants Assistant

The East-West Management Institute, Inc. is seeking a Grants Assistant for the USAID Rule of Law Program in Georgia. The Grants Assistant will work under the supervision of the Finance, Contracts, and Grants Director. The Grants Assistant will be responsible for the efficient support of the office’s grantmaking activities. 

The Grants Assistant will report to the Finance, Contracts, and Grants Director and will perform the following functions:

  1. Conduct an initial assessment of grant applications, and work on pre-award documents and budgets
  2. Prepare and conduct initial orientation meetings with the grant recipients
  3. Review and check financial reports and cost-share reports
  4. Perform desk and onsite review/sub-recipient monitoring
  5. Communicate with applicants during the review, award, and implementation processes
  6. Provide sub-recipients with technical assistance as needed

Recent graduates with a background in business administration, finances, or other relevant fields are eligible to apply. The successful candidate will possess:  

  1. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  2. Fluency in Georgian, good spoken and written English language skills (English skills will be tested)
  3. Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  4. Similar work experience is not required
