The project will use strategic litigation, advocacy and awareness-raising campaigns to:
protect journalists and civil activists from illegal persecution; provide a safe environment for civil activism, including the freedom of assembly and expression;
promote the right to a fair trial in cases of administrative offenses and criminal proceedings;
prevent and combat violence against women and girls by giving them access to appropriate legal avenues and empowering them to live in a violence-free environment;
support the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals by monitoring the state of enforcement of LGBTQ+ rights-related cases at the European Court of Human Rights, providing relevant updates to the Committee of Ministers, and submitting an alternative report on this issue to the Parliament of Georgia; and
protect the rights of persons with disabilities, alcohol dependence or mental health problems in relation to law enforcement agencies.
