The project will increase the availability of remedies for possible violations of children’s rights in judicial and non-judicial proceedings. These may include: the provision of information, access to appeals and independent complaints mechanisms, strengthening children’s participation in judicial and non-judicial proceedings and supporting the institutionalization of such participation, and supporting the development and adoption of child-friendly working methods by legal and allied professionals (lawyers, social workers, forensic experts, etc.).
The project consists of three components: strategic litigation in domestic and international courts and mechanisms; awareness-raising and skills-building; and the empowerment of individuals so that they can benefit from the results of strategic litigation when litigating as unrepresented litigants.
Project coverage area: whole Georgia.
