The project will develop and expand the institutional capacity of Ilia University’s law school and clinical teaching. In collaboration with Northwestern University Law School (Chicago, U.S.), the Human Rights Clinical Program will create and expand a clinic for strategic legislative initiatives and implement diverse activities. The Human Rights Clinic will work on up to 30 cases a year, and more emphasis will be placed on court cases.
The Human Rights Film Club and the Human Rights Chair will continue their human rights awareness-raising activities using student-centered strategies. In addition to traditional activities, the Human Rights Chair will produce human rights podcasts and create a Socrates Club to discuss court decisions on current human rights issues.
