On March 29, under the framework of a USAID Rule of Law Program supported grant, the Georgian Bar Association (GBA) organized a one-day training on qualitative and quantitative research methodologies for its employees.
Attended by 14 employees of the GBA training center, administrative and analytical departments, the training covered such issues as quantitative and qualitative research design and methods, sampling techniques, ethical considerations and many more.
"The methodologies discussed will greatly assist me in selecting, planning, and executing research methods in my work," said Tamar Khubuluri, senior lawyer for the GBA Ethics Commission. Eka Mamaladze, GBA senior analyst added, "The acquired knowledge equips me with the skills needed to plan and oversee research projects with greater efficiency. Whether it's choosing the appropriate research method, designing studies, or defining target groups, this training has provided me with valuable insights essential for conducting qualitative research."
All participants agreed that the training equipped them with knowledge and practical insights to manage the research process more effectively. This includes determining appropriate research designs, methodology and analysis tools when planning needs assessments or satisfaction surveys among GBA members which the GBA will use to implement USAID Rule of Law Program grant activities.
