With the Program's support, the Green Sector organized an extensive two-day training course focused on the importance of field visits in educational programs. The event gathered 27 civic education teachers from secondary schools in the Adjara region.
During his opening speech, Ilia Guchmanidze, Chairman of the Green Sector, outlined the primary goals and objectives of the Program-supported project titled "Justice Navigator." This initiative will enhance the awareness of young individuals and establish partnerships between justice institutions and the educational sector through informative student tours. As part of this action, the civic education teachers and students will participate in study tours of Batumi courts and other justice sector institutions. Mr. Guchmanidze introduced the available resources and opportunities designed to enhance the organization of educational tours within justice sector institutions.
Education expert Revaz Abkhazava delved into the purpose of arranging field trips, elaborating on the concept of integrating theoretical subjects related to civic education with practical excursions. He presented a methodology for teachers to seamlessly incorporate student field studies into educational curricula. The teachers became acquainted with the procedural stages of these educational tours, as well as the intricacies of preparing students for these visits and conducting post-visit classroom activities.
